My Granny is one cool lady.

The other day, I took my Granny out for hi-tea. She wore pearl earrings, a military-studded blazer, and harem pants. And there I was, sitting across from her at the pink-tableclothed table, gaping at how her outfit reflected some of the hottest trends of the online shopping community today.

But no, she didn't buy them online. She's had them in her wardrobe since circa-1970. :D

Ladies and gentlemen,
it's time we showed some love for the vintage!

From Kitty Owl Vintage Dresses as affordable as RM35

The thing about vintage dresses is that they're so darn classic! :) Eventhough they're sorta dated, but there's a timelessness about vintage dresses (and accessories) that say "style" without screaming it in your face. :)

From florals to funky prints, you'll find there's a vintage dress out there with your name on it. :D

I know mine would be flowers. :P Like these!

From Kitty Owl Vintage

By pulling on some accessories and maybe cinching up your outfit with your funkiest belt, you can update the entire vintage look - and give it that contemporary edge! :)

Brand new vintage-inspired earrings from Kitty Owl Vintage, RM10 per pair

The other cool thing about shopping for vintage stuff online is the many outfit ideas that come with them - take Kitty Owl Vintage for example! :) Quite a newbie to the blogshop scene, but one of the things that sets them apart from a lot of other blogs are the photographs and style ideas. :)

And also because they have tonnes of vintage maxi dresses. :D

Take me to Hawaii!

FAQ on Vintage Clothing
Does "vintage" clothing mean "used" clothing?
KittyOwlVintage: In regards to the vintage concept, actually they're mixed. Some are new and come with factory tags, and some are pre-owned. But they come together, so a bit hard to tell at times.

What about the dresses sold at Kitty Owl Vintage?
KittyOwlVintage: I sell newly imported dresses from Japan and US. They're one-of-a-kind outfits going at affordable prices. Unlike other vintage blogshops... we don't wear the dresses before selling them! I sell the dresses directly after I get them (and after washing that is...), coz i know some blogshops sell pre-loved vintage - dresses that they've bought and personally worn before selling.

Are you having a promotion now at Kitty Owl Vintage?
KittyOwlVintage: I'm having a clearance sale for some old items. Prices have been slashed down to RM 25! Apart from this, I'm also giving FREE POSTAGE to YSK readers. Just e-mail the password "I'm a shopping kaki at Kitty Owl Vintage!" with your order. This special offer is valid for payments made by 25 December 2009 - but not valid with any other promotion. :)

Go vintage at Kitty Owl Vintage! :)

Happy Shopping!

i cant help noticing the kitty owl vintage blogshop. i bought a dress from them once and yea i really like the dress as its so beautiful. however, they claim that their dresses are brand new or pre owned but im sorry to say that the dress i bought from them are totally "vintage". vintage as in it was worn before or sewn with own hand on seam that are not suppose to be sewn with hand. i don mean to condemn anyone, but vintage dresses are vintage dresses regardless worn or not. their's are some of the example of blogshop selling vintage stuff i face. previously with such expensive price, i am expecting something more.

Hey dear, thanks for the feedback. I'd like to apologise if there's a misunderstanding in the term of brand new vintage. True some (not all) clothes have been worn before, but not for the last few decades. Meaning you won't see a photo of someone else wearing your newly bought vintage dress, at a bazaar last weekend. Personally, I love wearing vintage dresses for the individuality; thus this is an major plus point for me. There's nothing wrong with pre-loved vintage though, just up to each people's preference. Hope that clears things up. Thanks dear! Hope you'll visit us again. :)
