Apart from fashion and shopping, it's always good to give back to society (by attending a charity concert, maybe!) and picking up a new hobby - fabric-painting! :D Here are 2 emails from readers that I'd like to share with you:

For this concert, you don't have to pay money for the tickets but in exchange for a gift for children of any value. The gifts will be distributed to homes that are listed by City Care. RSVP to catchme@hannahtan.com for the tickets and seatings on that day will be free seating. Get there earlier for good seats. :)

"Hi Sha-Lene,

I figured, YSK can help promote more about fabric painting! =D As it's close to fashion since i have always used fashion and fabric paitning together in my fashion shows. So the promo will be about fabric painting classes and services for those who wants to have their clothing painted by a professional. And even for those boutique owners who wants to paint a particular design on their clothes to sell it more.

Basically I am trained by a master teacher in fabric painting certified by Pebeo, France. I have done services for boutiques such as Apples and Pearls in Taman Tun, Nicleesher Fashion House SS15, Fashion Show for Aids Charity at Bukit Jalil with fashion designer Keith Kee, Fashion show at PLU Icon at The Disco. Some of my stuff were on sale long before in Wondermilk and Dragonfly Tattoo Parlour (Ikano) and Mont Kiara Flea Market.

Below is the information:

2. Classes for now:
- Fabric Painting Basic class RM180 for 4 classes Once a week
- Fabric Painting & Fashion Surgery RM200 for 4 classes Once a week

3. Classes Coming soon:
- Advance Fabric Painting RM280 for 4 classes Once a week
- Silk painting and Tie & Dye for RM300 for 6 classes Once a week

4. All classes are 1 1/2 hours, weekdays from 8-9.30 and weekends by appointment

They learn the techniques, explore them and practice on their own at home. Materials is provided in-house, but if they want their own, they can purchase through me, selecting their own colours from a colour chart.

Services:
Services to charge is usually gauge by design, colours, and size of painting. Boutique owners who wants to paint on their clothings and resell them, there is room for negotiating cheaper if they provide me more quantity of clothing to paint.
