Still in the dark of this event ? Check out here, here and here to get to know about the wolf in a up, close and personal way.

Now a word of caution for those first timers. Not that the wolf would bite but since 2009 this is one of the biggest book fairs in Malaysia, do come prepared. Operating on a 24 hours basis, do expect a sea of human during peak hours, mountain of books in a wide space and a surge in adrenalin of finding treasures in unbeatable price. A few tips to share :

  • Bring sufficient water to ensure that you stay cool throughout the walk browsing the books. (Especially when it's crowded) Yes, there will be stalls selling food and drinks, but saving a few bucks gets you and extra book or two.
  • Bring a bag or two for your own convenience (especially those book lovers). Many came prepared with luggage bags and trolleys. You'll never know what surprises are in store.

  • Go early. As they say the early bird catches the worm, you'll may just snatch up that prized book plus avoid all the fuss and jam. (In another case, some say go as late as possible? Since it's 24 hours, why not pick a time most convenient and have a great night getting the books you want? )
For those already eyeing this fair, no need for more explanation but see you there this 4th Dec !!!

JEOEL JEWELS 2015 CHRISTMAS EDITION

by Christine Wong

So I was shopping at 1 Utama just last weekend, JEOEL Jewels crossed my path and I could not take my eyes off the beautiful sets just for this Christmas. Much to my surprise, JEOEL celebrates the warmth of the holidays and the cool beauty of winter with its new collection inspired by the shades and splendour of the season.

Snowie earrings resembling ice flakes to go with that black evening dress for this year's Christmas dinner sounds like a plan. Then I saw the Anahera earrings and Esprit earrings got me in a dilemma. They are so tempting!

Saw really good jewellery range consisting of traditional yuletide symbols from petite Angels, a reindeer, skating boots and even a snowman with an openable belly to reveal a smaller snowman inside (how detailed!) The Snowman and Ice Skater Boots charm really seems to make for a good Christmas present. Oh so excited!

As I was all set to part with some hard earned cash, I realized that JEOEL is also running the 'A Gift from Santa' campaign.

'A Gift from Santa' campaign entitles a customer to an instant prize draw for every RM150 minimum spending in JEOEL, be it online of offline. You can expect to get lucky and hopefully grab home some goodies. What's up for grab in the draw? From RM30 instant redeemable vouchers to the grand prize valued at RM300 only if you visit the 1 Utama like I did. While online at www.jeoel.com, you can expect to receive a mystery gift, corresponding to the total amount purchased. Thus, the more you purchase, the more chances you get to draw or the larger your gift could be!

Wow this is surely music to my ears !! Now I can even score some instant prizes getting these lovely gifts for myself or for family and friends.

Here's what to expect from the Christmas Editions at JEOEL !

Aren't these lovely? I think I'll go and visit them again, especially the One Utama Branch to try and score the Grand Prize worth RM300. In the meantime, let's go online and visit http://www.jeoel.com/ for MORE selection !!
Hey, you can also follow JEOEL at the following social media platform :

Ice Ice Baby!

by Cynthia Lee

I have always love the sights of a watch on the wrist. For many years I have been wearing an old Solvil Titus till it dies 6 years back. Since then I went without a watch. Simply because I am too stingy to buy one.
I forgot how I stumbled into this brand but I would say that in my whole life, this is most probably the first time I got overdosed over watches :S

Not knowing why are they called 'Ice' in the first place, you would most probably heard about Ice Watch by now. You can locate their shops in major shopping malls and from time to time they tend to come out with heart-bombing discounts up to 70%!

I have about 6 of them from a few collection throughout the years.
If you are not aware, Ice Watch have been around the Malaysia market for awhile but there wasn't too much hype about it till the recent years.

I don't exactly have any historical background of the brand, but I do manage to get some info via this website - Origination of Ice Watch

I love the fact that their main attraction is the colors used for the silicone strap. Most of the watches here utilises silicon based straps while there are also those in funky looking denim and shell-like finishing. Personally I quite like the fact that watches now comes in silicone strap. Saves you the hassle of maintaining it like that of a leather based one.

Here's some (not all!) of my personal collection that I have been buying for the past 2 years =D

Ice Watch Ice Style Collection
This come as Unisex or in Big size, with the unisex one bearing a 38mm face and 42mm for the big one. The rose gold trimming adds a luxury feel to this silicone strap piece. I love the unconventional colors! Most of us would cringe at the thought of having a purple watch. Simply because it will be impossible to match it with your attire. My say? Be bold! Make a statement with the contrast :)

alt="Ice watch Ice style watches" />
Ice Watch Ice Style Collection retails at RM699

I actually loathe this series that I actually have 2 and intending to get another in purple and black and white. Opps!
alt="Ice Watch Ice Style" />
My green piece matched with a rose gold crescent necklace from Lovisa

The Oxford blue piece to match my preserved orchid pendant

When the Glam Pastel collection were out, I simply cannot resist seeing pastel strap. Here's a picture of the collection, if you didn't know.

Glam or not the pastel series? =D
Retails at RM379

Such pretty pastel and yet it exudes that hint of subtle glam feel, without being too cute to wear. And of course, temptation cannot be resisted. I just had to get my fave one in turquoise! Another awesome feature of the Ice Glam pastel series is that this also comes with a rose gold trimming on the face of the watch. Glam glam!

They call this Aqua though, not turquoise, but whatever it is, I love it!

The Ice Glam pastel series is actually a later series. I first started to get hooked onto these silicone strap beauties when I was invited by the brand for a re-launch and there were some corporate discount offered to guest for the day. That's when I got home with not just one but two of the brightest and boldest strap that I cannot take my eyes of - in yellow and purple ;)
The Ice Collection (that's what they call it) comprises of an entire colorful collection of with bold colors. From the basic white to leaf green, these silicone strapped beauties works great on a casual day out. Simply lits up your wardrobe!

Ice Watch Ice Collection retails at RM339

One of my very first Ice Collection in purple strap for those casual days out

Ice Collection in Yellow for that bright sunny day!

Last but not least, when you cannot afford a BMW as your dream car, then own a watch!
The BMW Ice Watch Chronosport series is a limited edition collection under Ice Watch. Available in White or Navy as the main color of the watch, this is a pretty handsome piece of thing I must say.
I got myself a pair in Large size of 42mm dial face. It makes a great gift to your boyfriend too. Just make sure you get it ina bigger dial face, the 48mmm one. The collection comes in a few assortment of size with and without the chronosport features. Retails from RM479 up to RM800 depending on size.

The BMW Ice Chronosport in Navy Blue for the sportive one :)

If you have been thronging the malls over the weekend, I am sure you would have come across the Ice Watch store. Normally a very small-sized store, they have friendly staff to assit you and explain to you on the latest offering by Ice Watch. Also remember to ask if there's any sales going on because sometimes discounts is really really tempting!

So which is your favourite Ice Watch of all?

Sunday Beauty - Nivea Extra White Makeup Clear

by Cynthia Lee

It's Sunday and yoga class was cancelled. The best time to stay at home and do a lil' pharmacy haul at the nearest mall :)
This product below caught my eye when I was roaming and checking out what's cheap and on sales in Guardian.
For someone who never fail to leave home with makeup on face, it's essential to ensure that all last traces of makeups are cleansed off at the end of the day (though many times, I come home tired and doze off with makeup still intact!)
You know all those saying that of you don't take extra care of your face when you are young, you most probably will not be enjoying any extra years having good skin when age catch up.
I am seriously lazy when it comes to taking care of my skin. I love makeup very much though and I do take a lot of extra effort to put on make up.

Removing makeup takes time. And effort. There's specific products created solely for the purpose of removing makeup before the normal face cleansing. In total, we makeup wearer takes double the time to get a clean and clear skin everyday.

Now here's something you should really have!

For those of you on the move, here's your must-have - Nivea Extra White Make Up Clear  3 in 1 series.

I purchased this set of the Nivea Extra White Make Up Clear 3 in 1 set for a mere RM12. That's a 100g of facial foam and comes with an extra tube of  50g 'mud'. The mud is actually mask!

I am just going to do lil' review on the facial foam this time round since beauty review just isn't my forte. So, just what can it remove? Here's what they claim ;

Let's do a test on it =D

Here's a dollop of Missha BB cream, which I slather and later powder-puffed it to set the skin for some eyeshadow and stuff.

Here's a combo of eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipstick which I will try erase off with the facial cream.

Tada! A few rub later and a wipe of wet tissue over it, all traces are gone!

As I only did it on the right side of my hand, can you see the difference?

I am not sure if the Extra White formulation works immediately, but for sure it does clean the makeup off in a single wash. This is definitely good news for lazy makeup addict like me - loves to put on makeup, but lazy to remove it!

Verdict :
Price : Affordable!
Would I buy it again : Yes!
Does it clean well : I would say it does it work well, though not 100%. For areas like your eyes and creases around the nose, it's always best to make sure you double cleanse it with other form of cleanser like your cleansing oil or those makeup removing tissue.

The Nivea Extra White Make Up Clear is available in major pharmacies and hypermarts :)
