Casual Fridays at work: What do I wear?

One of those random "What Do I Wear?" posts. :P
Might be useful for some of you reading this too :)

I think, being a college/uni student for the past 4 years,
I've grown accustomed to wearing "campus wear" -
mostly the staple cardigans, dresses, jeans, sneakers, flip flops ...

Most of which are totally wrong for work.

But besides praying for a job where I can wear anything I want -
I figure, it'd be cool to read up on some ideas for the best workday wardrobe:

Casual Fridays!



Apparently, Casual Fridays at work mean that we're still at work -
Casual Fridays are not to be confused with Sunny Saturdays.
It just means ditching the worksuit for some semi-formal with a more relaxed style. :)
I guess the most important thing is to look polished & professional, not sloppy.

Anything slashed, ripped or faded isn't usually a good idea,
showing too much skin or wearing see-through clothing are totally wrong -
the right shoes are important, the right colours are important,
and it's also probably important to find out what your colleagues wear for Casual Fridays -
if you're new on the job (as most of us are/will be soon)!
