Product Review: The Midi Skirt

By Cynthia (Guest Blogger)

Product: The Versatile Mathilde Midi Skirt
Available at: Covetz

If we could name only one thing every budget shopper loves, it's got to be versatility. Staple pieces (think LBD!), reversible blazers, 10-in-1 convertible dresses, that kinda awesome possum stuff. :P If we could have one skirt that could create a dozen different ensembles for work, shopping, formal events, casual lepak sessions with friends... wouldn't you want it?

The Mathilde Midi Skirts RM99

Now, when you think about these basics that squeal versatility, we want you to think about Covetz!
A new online store in the blogshopsphere that showcases a basic collection of daily wear, they're all about being minimalist and versatile - mix and match your new clothes with all your existing clothes and accessories, creating an entirely new wardrobe.

I had a chance to pick an item from their collection for a review. I picked a midi skirt - something that I would never attempt in trying. I always have this impression that anything below the knee for a 165cm or shorter and a UK12 girl would not do much good. But I guess it would be great fun to try out how to match a basic midi skirt ;)

Besides a handpicked collection sourced overseas, they also have a range which is designed and manufactured exclusively for their own brand - Covetz. I was thrilled to find that the jersey material of the midi is one of the thickest jersey I have ever came across. Which is good when it comes to skirts - you totally do not have to worry to walk under the broad daylight and risk showing your undercurves to every strangers you passes by.

Simple and classy enough to be matched with almost any tops, I had a few mix and matches done ;)

Paired with Asos mesh bodysuit =D

Cikgu Dominatrix - paired with a lace lingerie outer wear from Sexy Saucy Spicy, worn as top =D

Thick waistband oh-so-comfortable - it's so thick and stretchy that it fits a UK8-12!

Available in 4 colors - black, dark green, crimson red and burnt orange, the Mathilde midi skirt is a great must-have basic that can actually be worn for work or for leisure. Simply match with any fitted top or cropped top and you are ready to go. I would normally opt for super high heels since this is a midi length. Makes your legs look way longer and taller of course ;)

I found another midi skirt which is equally as good looking and in brighter shades too - the Covetz Fit and Flare Midi Skirt. This piece may not fit a bigger sized girl though :(
Do enquire with the seller anyhow.
