Upcoming Book Fair : Big Bad Wolf 2015 (4th Dec - 14th Dec)

If you're familiar with the Red Riding Hood story, you would surely recall about the cunning big bad wolf. However in this case, the Big Bad Wolf or BBW comes back with bundles of book joys for everyone.

Located at The Mines from 4th December to 14th December, follow this guide to reach the fair and expect to be awe by the awesome discounts of books by popular authors. Not sure what to expect? Check this out.

Now a word of caution for those first timers. Not that the wolf would bite but since 2009 this is one of the biggest book fairs in Malaysia, do come prepared. Operating on a 24 hours basis, do expect a sea of human during peak hours, mountain of books in a wide space and a surge in adrenalin of finding treasures in unbeatable price. A few tips to share :

• Bring sufficient water to ensure that you stay cool throughout the walk browsing the books. (Especially when it's crowded) Yes, there will be stalls selling food and drinks, but saving a few bucks gets you and extra book or two.
• Bring a bag or two for your own convenience (especially those book lovers). Many came prepared with luggage bags and trolleys. You'll never know what surprises are in store.

• Go early. As they say the early bird catches the worm, you'll may just snatch up that prized book plus avoid all the fuss and jam. (In another case, some say go as late as possible? Since it's 24 hours, why not pick a time most convenient and have a great night getting the books you want? )

WOW, ClothesBuffet is coming to town again. Held for the 5th time and right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's Parkamaya of Fahrenheit88, I could not have wished for anything less. I mean, just in time to get as many pretty clothes for this Christmas/New Year for RM50 only !!!! Talk about stretching our RM value, this is surely value for money. Come on, where can you possibly grab as many clothes as possible in 15 minutes for RM50?

For those sceptical you, doubt no more. Here's what you really need to do:

• Purchase a bag for RM50
• Grab as many clothes as you can in 15 minutes
• Everything that you can fit into the purchased bag during check out is YOURS !!
• Limited to max of 50 people per session. (To give you more room and chance to get more of course)

This is how the bag looks like and the record holder to date manages to fit like 23 pieces !!! I bet you can do better than that. I'll certainly try to beat that record. As response has been overwhelming in the last buffets, do pre-book your shopping slot by getting the pre-order tickets here and jump straight to action once you're there. Talk about not wasting another minute, yeah.

Hunters & Collectors @ The School, Jaya One

Going to the weekend bazaar is becoming of a luxury event for me.
Just as I barely have time for anything in life except to get work done, I was determined to not miss this round of Markets @ Jaya One. Also because I have to pick up something from Wei Ni that would require me to drop by, LOL!!

No trips will be complete without some haul yo!

Welcome to Markets @ Jaya One :)

Perhaps it's the space now which is huge in comparison to small pavements when I used to go to the one held outdoors, Markets @ The School, Jaya One is sure to let you whisk your way with no sweat yo! Yup, held indoor and in a fully air-conditioned space, take your time and stroll on!

Here's some pictures for the day!

Tried the famous Sangkaya coconut flavoured ice cream that everyone have been talking about. Well, it's just ice cream ;)

While the indoors are reserved for everything else that one can sell, there is a row of stalls outside that serves everything else that you can consume!

Fashion aside, the bazaar this time is a collaboration between the people form Markets and Hunters & Collectors Fair, if I did not interpret wrongly. Hence ths time around I spotted some very interesting booth featuring some very young and talented artistes.

"To Mama" is dedicated to all mum's and their signature 'acts' :)

These artwork by ENGSHENC is my fave! Just look at how intricate these artworks are. And each of the illustrations bears some very deep meaning to it.

Beneath by Ryn too is another of my favourite piece. Th one thing that pique my interest was the handmade wall plaque that comes with almost 3D effect.

I purchased the one with the caption 'WISH'. I think in everyone of us, we always have that 'Wish' beneath us, waiting to be fulfilled ;)
