Move into Midis!

Midi skirts are all the rage right now! What was popular back in the 1940s is now a must have item in every fashionista's closet!

The midi skirt first came about in the 40s, where the fashion decade was well known for it's elegance. And it is because of its elegance that the midi skirt is now a big hit amongst celebrities and fashion bloggers. We believe that regardless of your age, you are sure to find a midi skirt that will look good on you at any time of your life!

Below we've sorted the midi skirts into Flares & Fitted. They're both equally stunning but each has their own look, feel & charm. :)

First up, Flares!

The flared midi skirt is reminiscent of the 40s, with it's cinched in waist, light pleats and full skirt. Back in the days, they were often paired up with conservative blouses & kitten heels. These days, how you style up your flared midi skirt is very much up to your own creativity & individuality.

The midi skirt looks especially great when paired with a fitted crop top (another must have piece!). The crop top sit comfortably right above the navel, while the midi skirt sits right on the navel, giving you a hint of skin without showing off too much.

Following up with Fitted! 

The fitted midi skirts adds a more streamlined & clean look to your style. If you're one for clean lines, the fitted midi skirt might be the one for you. These come in a myriad of styles & cuts, with slits or without, in glitzy glitter or nautical stripes, some with a flirty drop hem/low peplum.

A pair of fitted midi skirt will sit at the smallest part of your waist & hug your curves all the way down to your knees, making this a truly figure flattering item to have in your wardrobe. Because of their midi lengths, by pairing them with heels they add height & length to your body, giving you a taller look.

Delightful Spring Pastels with Carlo Rino

Hi YSK-ers! So sorry this post took forever! Between CNY & everything else there just wasn't enough time to prep it all! Anyways, without delay here's our rundown on Carlo Rino's Spring Breeze 2015 Collection event!

We started off with a very informative & helpful face exercise session by Sothys. They showed us the various ways we can exercise our face just 5 minutes a day to keep it looking young & supple. :) 

Following that, we had a session by Miko Gelare to talk to us about the different hair types & what Keratase products would go well. For me with my obsession for bleach & colour, they recommended the Bain Chroma Riche range. If you're looking to do either a hair/scalp treatment, do drop by any Miko Gelare outlets to receive a free hair/scalp consultation. :)

Because my sister & I wanted to win some free hair items, we went up and answered a couple of questions! :)

And finally, what we have all been waiting for, the debut of CARLO RINO'S SPRING BREEZE 2015 COLLECTION!

A cheerful & fun collection! Bags in all sizes for all occasions! 

The models kept the entire runway show, lighthearted & fun by stopping by a couple of products in the store & matching them with their outfits! There was even a selfie moment! :O 

 Strong prints & wild colours! 

The final look! I must say that the entire collection is incredibly fun, flirty, colourful & totally appropriate for Spring! Definitely loving the navy blue small sling bag & the red one!
