Summer Styles: Top of the Crops!

While it may be Summer all year long here in Malaysia, we can attest that it is during the middle of the year where it becomes unbearably hot & humid, forcing us to break out all our favourite breezy, casual pieces!

As such, we decided to kickstart our Summer Styles series with a bang by bringing you guys a weekly selection of our favourite themed pieces! We decided to get it going by talking about the well known & fashionistas favourite... the CROP TOP!

What exactly is a crop top? 
According to wikipedia, it is essentially a t-shirt or blouse with the lower part cut off & showing off some of the abdomen, which can also be known as belly shirt, half shirt, midriff shirt, tummy top, short shirt and cutoff shirt. Phew, that was a lot of other names!

Whatever you may choose to call it, there is no avoiding this 90's comeback! Whether you're a veteran at styling up your favourite crop tops, or you're just dipping your toes into the water, our helpful guide will show you different ways you can style up your crop top!

 Not all crop tops are created equal. If you're just starting out & feeling uncomfortable with baring your belly, pick a crop top that ends closer to the navel as opposed to the bust line. Pair it up with your favourite maxi skirt for a modest yet chic Summer look!

 Who says you can't wear crop tops for work? If your working in an environment that doesn't come with a super strict dress code, feel free to dress up your crop tops for work by pairing them up with a pair of well tailored high-waisted pants. Alternatively, a pair of denim jeans work well for a casual devil-may-care style!

 Fearless & bold? Go for short shorts with your crop tops! Whether you're just lounging by the pool or at a beautiful beach, you can't go wrong with pairing up your crop tops with figure hugging booty shorts or even a pair of funky printed breezy one.

Mini or midi skirts, what's your pick? Whether you're looking to go bare legs with a super short skater skirt or a slightly covered up midi skirt, either one would look fabulous with your crop top. Don't be afraid to mix prints! After all, fashion is all about having fun! ;)

If one have all the money in the world, the world of fashion is almost like a dreamland where you can walk and pick any items you like without having to check on the price tag. I was talking to a friend who is currently studying in London and she have been summoned by her mom to help her buy the Hermes Birkin in the London store. The bag is valued at ehem... 6,000 pounds. So she have all the money in the world to get that. But she failed.
