Raya Bergaya with Zalora

Raya is in less than a week. For those who are celebrating it, I am sure you would have your Raya fashion all lined up waiting only to be paraded :)

What I love about Raya besides the good food? I am sure you cannot miss out spotting those flamboyant and mesmerizing fashion catered for Muslimah. Personally, I won't labelled it 'muslimah' We are after all living in a muhibah country with so much diversity, that it really isn't a wrong thing to wear costumes which may not come from your own community.

My love for Baju Kurung stem from my years of work meeting up with clients mostly from GLC and government sector. And being someone who is loud, I am just not the one who will be easily contented with a plain kurung. I love mix and match. I love bold colors contrasted with strong prints - fit for a diva like that eh :)

Where do I go to check out some of the most awesome collection ever in Malaysia?
Zalora of course!
It's pretty addictive, I tell ya. Once you got yourself into the page, there is a plethora of beautiful traditional Malay wear for the ladies that you did not know can be done in such a way.

So what you don't need a piece of these for Raya? I can imagine myself in these for work, attending dinner, weddings or any functions.

Here's some of my favourite brand that is available in Zalora.

Syomir Izwa
If you do not know, Syomir Izwa is one of the local designers and you cna see his designs on many local celebrities whenever there are awards show.
Showcasing a small collection that exudes simplicity with minimal details, I love these, simply because it's so simple yet alluring. The flattering cut is the highlight here.

In the lightest hue contrasted with dark trimming, I  would so wear this to work like a diva! *love* 

 

The Nehru collar is a great detail to this pieces. Making it more Asian, I say :)

This year, Melinda Looi has done alot of collaboration with artiste and the results are amazing.

You can get a small showcase of the collection inspired by Liyana Jasmay and Emma Maembong in Zalora. The collections  are not flamboyant but eclectic enough to tease your sense of style.

The strongest hue - green and red to make sure you stand out boldly with style.

Not many love the combo of green and blue but I think this is brilliant! 

Turquoise will never be wrong for any mood. Complemented with the bright colorful trimming, this simple set ain't so simple after all :)

Jovian Mandagie
This is my favourite collection of all! I cannot express how much I love design from Jovian. I have seen his works for many years and I must say he is getting better in making glamourous wear that cna make any normal being like us feeling like a million dollar ;)

This Raya collection he did for Zalora is making me in awe. The ikat and art-deco inspired collection is so brilliant.
I am not sure if this is something that everyone will love, but I can so see how the collection cna be adapted and worn in so many occasion for every trendy fashionista.

Red piece with gold geometrical lines in poncho style screams 'Modern Datin'

And those intricate Indonesian batik inspried prints is just too pretty! Enhances the whole piece dramatically. 

Simplicity doesn't just go simple without much effort in details. The addition of shiny gold on both the subtle grey and bold red makes so much differences. Either way, you will know this is a Jovian piece - that glam identity in its detail ;)

These definitely screams Jovian in every angle. Feminine, strong and bold,
